Best Michigan Mobile Casinos for 2026
Michigan mobile casinos are licensed by the Michigan Gaming Control Board, and as of August 2026 the board had authorized 15 commercial and tribal operators to offer online casino games, 13 of which also take online sports bets. Each app on your phone runs under one of those 15 license holders, either a tribal casino or one of the three commercial casinos in Detroit, so the board’s own list is the quickest way to check that a Michigan online casino is legal before you deposit.
Below you will find the full authorized list taken from the board’s website, each welcome offer as the operator’s own Michigan page or terms gave it when we read them from Michigan in September 2026, and the banking, tax and location rules that apply to every app.
Where an operator’s own Michigan page would not load for us, the offer is marked as unconfirmed rather than copied from another site. Several offers carry end dates, and bet365’s current casino package closes at 06:59 AM ET on October 1, 2026, so read the offer on the signup screen before you deposit.
The best Michigan mobile casinos at a glance
- BetMGM Casino: BetMGM’s Google Play listing advertises a 100% deposit match up to $1,000 plus a $25 casino bonus on a $10 minimum deposit, and its Michigan promotions page would not load for us, so confirm the offer on the signup screen. Partnered with MGM Grand Detroit.
- FanDuel Casino: deposit $5 or more for 1,000 bonus spins on Huff N’ Puff slots, paid as 50 a day for 20 days, plus $25 in casino bonus. Partnered with MotorCity Casino.
- Caesars Palace Online Casino: $10 on signup, a 100% first deposit match on selected slots up to $1,000 that must be wagered 15 times within 7 days, and 2,500 Reward Credits once you wager $25. New players only, 21 and over, and shared between Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia. Partnered with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
- Fanatics Casino: up to $1,000 back in casino credit on your net losses in the first 24 hours, to use on any Fanatics Casino game within 7 days. Partnered with the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
- Golden Nugget Online Casino: casino games only in Michigan, under the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, and its Michigan promotions page would not load for us, so check the welcome offer at signup.
- DraftKings Casino: authorized through the Bay Mills Indian Community, and DraftKings’ Michigan promotions page refused our Michigan connection, so the signup screen is the place to read its offer.
- BetRivers Casino: 100% of your first 24 hours of net casino losses back, up to $500 in bonus money you wager once, plus up to 500 bonus spins on Lion Link games. Partnered with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.
- bet365 Casino: a 100% match up to $1,000 on a first deposit of $10 or more, bet 15 times on eligible slots within 30 days, plus up to 1,000 bonus spins, until October 1, 2026. Partnered with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.
- Hard Rock Bet: deposit $10 or more for 500 bonus spins on Cash Eruption, plus up to $1,000 back as casino bonus you wager once if your first 24 hours of slot play end down. Partnered with the Hannahville Indian Community.
- Minimum age: 21, and you must be inside Michigan when you play.

Every operator licensed in Michigan
This is the complete list of platforms authorized by the Michigan Gaming Control Board, with the Michigan casino each one operates under. The tribal platforms lower down, such as FireKeepers, Four Winds and Eagle Casino and Sports, hold the same authorization as the national brands, and the board gives the web address of each one.
| Platform | Michigan partner | Review or website |
|---|---|---|
| bet365 | Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians | bet365 review |
| BetMGM | MGM Grand Detroit | BetMGM review |
| BetPARX | Gun Lake Tribe | Play Gun Lake, at playgunlake.com |
| BetRivers | Little River Band of Ottawa Indians | BetRivers review |
| Caesars and WSOP | Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians | Caesars review |
| Caesars Horseshoe | Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians | At horseshoeonlinecasino.com |
| DraftKings | Bay Mills Indian Community | DraftKings review |
| Fanatics | Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians | Fanatics review |
| FanDuel | MotorCity Casino | FanDuel review |
| Eagle Casino and Sports | Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan | At playeagle.com, on the GAN platform |
| Golden Nugget | Keweenaw Bay Indian Community | Golden Nugget review |
| Hard Rock Bet | Hannahville Indian Community | Hard Rock Bet review |
| FireKeepers | Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi | At igaming.firekeeperscasino.com, on the NeoGames platform |
| Four Winds | Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians | At play.fourwindscasino.com, on the Strive platform |
| Hollywood Casino and theScore Bet | Hollywood Casino at Greektown | At hollywoodcasino.com |
An app missing from that list holds no Michigan license, and the board’s complaint process covers only the licensed operators, so a withdrawal problem on an offshore site has no Michigan regulator behind it.
How the Michigan casino market works
Michigan built its online market on top of the casinos that were already here. Every internet gaming license belongs to a physical property, either one of the twelve federally recognized tribes with a gaming operation or one of the three commercial casinos in Detroit. The apps you download are platform providers, and each has been matched to one of those license holders.
That is why FanDuel answers to MotorCity Casino here and BetMGM answers to MGM Grand Detroit, while in another state the same brands sit under different partners. FanDuel’s Michigan site footer, for example, names Betfair Interactive US LLC as the operator and gives its Michigan license number, IGSL007399-20-001.
For you as a player, that license brings two things you can check. The board takes player complaints about licensed online casinos through its patron disputes page, and the Lawful Internet Gaming Act tells it to set and enforce testing and auditing rules for internet gaming platforms and player accounts.
It also explains why the list is longer than the handful of national brands you see advertised, since several tribes run apps under their own casino names.
How we rate a Michigan mobile casino
The order on this page comes from the things that decide whether an app is worth your time, weighted roughly like this:
- How fast the money comes back. We read each operator’s own withdrawal page where it loaded, such as BetMGM’s, which lists an internal review of up to 3 to 5 days before the payment method’s own time starts.
- What the bonus actually costs. The wagering requirement, the time limit and the games that count decide what an offer is worth, so we weigh them before the headline amount.
- The game library. What each lobby offers in slots, jackpots, table games and live dealer tables, taken from the operator’s own lobby or app store listing.
- How the app behaves on a phone. Whether one app and one account cover every state, whether casino and sportsbook share a brand, and what the location check asks of your phone.
- Support that answers. Live chat with a person on the end, at the hours you are likely to need it.
- Whether the terms are readable. Offers whose terms work through an example, as Caesars, bet365 and Hard Rock Bet do, are easier to judge before you deposit.
You can read the full method on our about page, and our affiliate disclosure explains how the site is paid.
Michigan mobile casinos compared
| Casino | Welcome offer | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| BetMGM | 100% up to $1,000 plus $25 on a $10 deposit, per its Google Play listing | Cash at the MGM Grand Detroit cage |
| FanDuel | Deposit $5 for 1,000 bonus spins over 20 days plus $25 casino bonus | A $5 entry and spins played through once |
| Caesars | $10 on signup, 100% up to $1,000 wagered 15 times in 7 days, 2,500 Reward Credits | Caesars Rewards members |
| Fanatics | Up to $1,000 back in casino credit on first-day losses | FanCash on every spin, hand and roll |
| DraftKings | Shown at signup, as the Michigan promotions page would not load | Players who already hold a DraftKings account |
| Golden Nugget | Read it at signup, since Golden Nugget’s Michigan page was blocked | A casino-only app in Michigan |
| BetRivers | 100% of first-day losses back up to $500, plus up to 500 bonus spins | Points on every real money wager |
| bet365 | 100% up to $1,000 plus up to 1,000 bonus spins, until October 1, 2026 | Spins whose winnings carry no wagering |
| Hard Rock Bet | Deposit $10 for 500 spins, plus up to $1,000 back on first-day slot losses | Casino and sportsbook under one brand |
Six of these offers were read on the operator’s own Michigan page or terms in September 2026, BetMGM’s comes from its Google Play listing, and the DraftKings and Golden Nugget pages would not load from Michigan, so the signup screen is the final word on all nine.
Michigan mobile casino reviews
Nine of the fifteen authorized platforms have a full review on this site. Each summary below gives the Michigan offer as the operator publishes it, the license holder, what the lobby carries, and the one condition that most changes the offer.

Its Google Play listing names live dealer table games alongside more than 450 slots and Slingo games and more than 50 jackpot slots.

- More than 450 slots and Slingo games in the app
- PayPal, Play+ and Visa card withdrawals within 24 hours after review
Cons
- An internal review of up to 3 to 5 days on every withdrawal
- Online banking withdrawals take a further 2 to 4 business days
- A separate account for each state you play in
Worth knowing: When you travel to another state BetMGM serves, the app lets you switch to that state, and you open a new account there to play.
Verdict: Pick BetMGM if you want the option of cash at a Detroit casino cage and a full list of payment methods, and confirm its welcome offer on the signup screen first.
2. FanDuel Casino, run with MotorCity Casino

- License: Michigan Gaming Control Board, through MotorCity Casino, license IGSL007399-20-001
- Operator: Betfair Interactive US LLC, with MotorCity Casino as its Michigan partner

- Payments: every deposit method counts towards the offer except cash at a counter and PayNearMe
- App: casino, sportsbook and poker, all authorized in Michigan
- Best for: a $5 entry and spins you play through once
FanDuel’s Michigan offer pays 1,000 spins plus $25 in casino bonus, and the spins arrive 50 a day over 20 days. The $25 is site credit you cannot withdraw and it expires 7 days after you receive it, though anything you win with it can be withdrawn at once. You can only take the offer if you have never deposited or bet with FanDuel Sportsbook, FanDuel Casino, Betfair Casino or Mohegan Sun Casino.
Pros
- 1,000 spins and $25 in casino bonus for a $5 deposit
- Spins played through once, with bonus winnings withdrawable straight away
- A Top 10 Games in Michigan row in the lobby
- American and European roulette both on offer
Cons
- The spins arrive over 20 days rather than at once
- FanDuel’s terms remove unused spins three days after each batch is credited
- The $25 casino bonus expires after 7 days
Worth knowing: Deposits made in cash at a counter or through PayNearMe do not qualify, so use another method for the first deposit.
Verdict: Pick FanDuel if a $5 first deposit suits you and you can log in over 20 days to collect the spins.
3. Caesars Palace Online Casino, run with the Grand Traverse Band
Caesars Palace Online Casino, run with the Grand Traverse Band
- A $10 bonus at signup before you deposit
- Reward Credits paid into your Caesars Rewards account
- WSOP poker under the same Michigan license holder
- Welcome offer: a $10 signup bonus wagered once, then a 100% first deposit match on selected slots up to $1,000, wagered 15 times within 7 days, and 2,500 Reward Credits once you wager $25 or more, with promo code WELCOME
- License: Michigan Gaming Control Board, through the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians
- Michigan partner: the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians
- Wagering: once on the $10 signup bonus and 15 times on the deposit match, on selected slots
- Games: slots, table games and live dealer games, plus a daily Pick & Win game for a chance at $5,000 in bonuses
- Live dealer: a live dealer section in the Michigan casino
- Payments: make the qualifying deposit online, since PayNearMe and casino cage deposits are left out of the bonus
- App: mobile only in Michigan, according to the board, with WSOP poker under the same license holder
- Best for: Caesars Rewards members
Caesars asks you to be an active Caesars Rewards member, and the 2,500 Reward Credits reach your Caesars Rewards account within 30 days of registering. The match is the larger part of the offer, and Caesars’ terms limit the match bonus to selected slots, while any casino wager counts towards its 15 times wagering and sports bets do not.
Pros
- A $10 bonus at signup before you deposit
- Reward Credits paid into your Caesars Rewards account
- WSOP poker under the same Michigan license holder
- Terms that work through a full wagering example
Cons
- Only 7 days to wager the match 15 times
- The match bonus can only be played on selected slots
- Reward Credits can take up to 30 days to arrive
Worth knowing: A smaller first deposit is easier to clear inside the 7 days, because the wagering grows with the match you take: a $100 match needs $1,500 of play, against $15,000 for the full $1,000.
Verdict: Take the Caesars offer if you already hold a Caesars Rewards account and can play through a modest match within a week.
4. DraftKings Casino, run with the Bay Mills Indian Community
DraftKings Casino, run with the Bay Mills Indian Community
- Authorized by the Michigan Gaming Control Board through the Bay Mills Indian Community
- Casino and sportsbook both on the board’s list
- Welcome offer: shown on the signup screen; DraftKings’ Michigan casino and promotions pages refused our Michigan connection, so the current offer is unconfirmed
- License: Michigan Gaming Control Board, through the Bay Mills Indian Community
- Michigan partner: the Bay Mills Indian Community
- Wagering: read it in the offer terms on the signup screen
- Best for: players who already hold a DraftKings account
DraftKings is one of the 15 platforms on the board’s authorized list, under the Bay Mills Indian Community, and the board lists both its casino at casino.draftkings.com and its sportsbook. Its Michigan casino and promotions pages blocked our Michigan connection, so read the offer and its terms on the signup screen before you deposit.
Pros
- Authorized by the Michigan Gaming Control Board through the Bay Mills Indian Community
- Casino and sportsbook both on the board’s list
Cons
- A Michigan offer we could not read at source
Worth knowing: Offers differ by state, so a DraftKings figure quoted for another state may not apply in Michigan.
Verdict: DraftKings is licensed here, and the signup screen is the one place to confirm its Michigan offer.
5. Golden Nugget Online Casino, run with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community
Golden Nugget Online Casino, run with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community
- A casino-only app, kept apart from sports betting
- Authorized through the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community
- Welcome offer: shown on the signup screen; Golden Nugget’s Michigan promotions page refused our Michigan connection too, so the offer is unconfirmed
- License: Michigan Gaming Control Board, through the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, for casino games only
- Michigan partner: the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community
- Wagering: read it in the offer terms on the signup screen
- Best for: players who want a casino-only app
The board lists Golden Nugget for casino games only in Michigan, at goldennuggetcasino.com, with no sportsbook under the same license holder. Its Michigan pages would not load for us, so the offer, the game count and the payment list are for you to check at signup.
Pros
- A casino-only app, kept apart from sports betting
- Authorized through the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community
Cons
- Its Michigan offer could not be read at source
Worth knowing: An end date for a Golden Nugget offer printed on another site may be out of date, so treat the signup screen as the current version.
Verdict: Golden Nugget suits you if you want a casino-only app, with the offer checked at signup.
6. BetRivers Casino, run with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians
BetRivers Casino, run with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians
- The returned losses only have to be wagered once
- Loyalty and Bonus Store points on every real money wager
- 46 exclusive games in the Michigan lobby

- Michigan partner: the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians
- Wagering: once on the returned bonus money, with Sic Bo, craps, Dragon Tiger, Hi-Lo, War, Football Studio and Football Dice left out
- Games: lobby tabs for tournaments, jackpots, live tables, blackjack, video poker and Slingo, with 46 BetRivers exclusive games
- Live dealer: a Live Tables tab in the Michigan lobby
- App: internet gaming and sports betting under one Michigan license
- Best for: players who log in most days and want points on every wager
BetRivers pays its spins in batches: 50 arrive straight after your first deposit, and you collect 50 more each consecutive day you log in, up to 500, with each batch expiring 24 hours after it is issued. Log in for 10 days in a row and you collect all 500. You earn Loyalty Level Points and Bonus Store Points on every real money wager, and BetRivers says you can register from any state, although you must be 21 or over and inside Michigan to play.
Pros
- The returned losses only have to be wagered once
- Loyalty and Bonus Store points on every real money wager
- 46 exclusive games in the Michigan lobby
Cons
- Each batch of spins lasts only 24 hours
- Missing a day’s login ends the run of daily spins
- Craps, Sic Bo and several other table games are left out of the offer
Worth knowing: The refund counts only net losses from your first 24 hours of casino play, so a player who finishes that first day ahead receives the spins and no bonus money.
Verdict: Choose BetRivers if you want your first-day losses covered up to $500 and you can log in daily to collect the spins.
7. bet365 Casino, run with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians
bet365 Casino, run with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians
- Spin winnings you can withdraw with no wagering
- A worked wagering example in the offer terms
- Venmo and Apple Pay among the deposit methods
- Welcome offer: deposit $10 or more and claim a 100% bonus up to $1,000, plus up to 1,000 bonus spins from 10 daily reveals, until 06:59 AM ET on October 1, 2026
- License: Hillside (Michigan) LLC, licensed by the Michigan Gaming Control Board in partnership with Odawa Casino, Inc., internet gaming license IGSL008630-26-001
- Michigan partner: the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians
- Wagering: the bonus 15 times on eligible slots within 30 days, with a top stake of 10% of the qualifying deposit or bonus per game round, and none on the spins
- Games: lobby tabs for What’s New, Live Dealer, Slots, Table Games, Video Poker, Jackpots and Arcade
- Live dealer: its own Live Dealer tab, and a Live Casino tab on the promotions page
- Payments: Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover debit cards from $10, instant bank transfer, Venmo and Apple Pay
- App: the Michigan casino runs at casino.mi.bet365.com
- Best for: spins whose winnings you can withdraw with no wagering
The bet365 spins come as up to 10 reveals, at least 24 hours apart, within 20 days of your first claim. Each reveal gives 50, 75 or 100 spins at $0.10 a spin, so you receive between 500 and 1,000 spins if you use all 10, and whatever they win is yours to withdraw.
Pros
- Spin winnings you can withdraw with no wagering
- A worked wagering example in the offer terms
- Venmo and Apple Pay among the deposit methods
Cons
- The matched bonus closes on October 1, 2026
- paysafecard and Trustly Card deposits do not qualify
- A top stake of 10% of the deposit or bonus per round while the bonus is live
Worth knowing: On a $100 bonus the 10% cap keeps each game round at $10 or less until the wagering is done, so plan your slot stakes around it.
Verdict: bet365 suits a player who wants a match with 30 days to clear it, as long as you claim before the October 1 deadline.
8. Hard Rock Bet, run with the Hannahville Indian Community
Hard Rock Bet, run with the Hannahville Indian Community
- Refunded slot losses only need to be wagered once
- 500 spins on a $10 first deposit
- Casino and sportsbook under one brand
- Welcome offer: a first deposit of $10 or more brings 500 bonus spins on Cash Eruption, plus 100% of your net slot losses from the first 24 hours back as bonus money you wager once, up to $1,000
- License: Michigan Gaming Control Board, through the Hannahville Indian Community, for casino games and sports betting
- Operator: Seminole Hard Rock Digital, LLC, with the Hannahville Indian Community as its Michigan partner
- Wagering: once on the returned bonus, and the spins are valid for seven days on Cash Eruption only
- Games: slots, blackjack, roulette, craps and live dealer games, as Hard Rock Bet’s Michigan page lists them
- App: the Michigan casino launched on December 2, 2025
- Best for: slot players who want first-day losses covered
Hard Rock Bet launched its Michigan casino on December 2, 2025 and is offered by Seminole Hard Rock Digital, LLC. The refund arrives as bonus money within 30 minutes of your first 24 hours ending, and sign-up asks for personal details and ID, including the last four digits of your Social Security number.
Pros
- Refunded slot losses only need to be wagered once
- 500 spins on a $10 first deposit
- Casino and sportsbook under one brand
Cons
- The spins work on Cash Eruption only
- The spins expire after seven days
- Only slot losses count towards the refund
Worth knowing: The refund counts net losses on real money slot play only, so table games in your first 24 hours add nothing to it.
Verdict: Hard Rock Bet suits a slot player who wants both spins and a first-day refund from a $10 deposit.
9. Fanatics Casino, run with the Lac Vieux Desert Band
Fanatics Casino, run with the Lac Vieux Desert Band
- FanCash spends across Fanatics products
- Casino credit usable on any game in the Fanatics Casino
- One app and one account in every Fanatics state
- Welcome offer: up to $1,000 back in casino credit, equal to your net losses on eligible games in the first 24 hours after you open the account
- License: Michigan Gaming Control Board, through the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, for sportsbook and casino
- Michigan partner: the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians
- Wagering: the credit works on any Fanatics Casino game and expires 7 days after it is issued, at 11:59pm ET
- Games: slots such as Triple Cash Eruption, Huff N’ Puff and Hypernova Megaways, roulette, live dealer games and an exclusive Fanatics Blackjack
- Live dealer: live dealer games, listed among Fanatics Casino’s games
- App: one app and one account across the states where Fanatics runs
- Best for: players who shop with Fanatics and want FanCash
Fanatics pays its loyalty rewards in FanCash, which you earn on every spin, hand and roll and which Fanatics says holds dollar-for-dollar value across its shop and its other products. The welcome credit follows your first 24 hours, so a first day that ends $1,000 or more down brings the full $1,000 in casino credit.
Pros
- FanCash spends across Fanatics products
- Casino credit usable on any game in the Fanatics Casino
- One app and one account in every Fanatics state
Cons
- The casino credit expires 7 days after it is issued
- FanCash is worth little if you do not shop there
- A refund only if your first day ends in net losses
Worth knowing: The 24 hours start when you sign up, not when you first deposit, and only losses from cash wagers on eligible games count towards the credit.
Verdict: Fanatics suits a player who already buys from Fanatics, because FanCash earned at the casino spends in its shop.
Is online gambling legal in Michigan?
Yes. Real money online casino play is legal in Michigan for anyone 21 or over who is physically inside the state when they play. The Michigan Gaming Control Board licenses the operators and publishes the authorized list, which is the same list reproduced above.
You do not have to be a Michigan resident. You have to be in Michigan. The apps check your location every time you open them, usually through a small piece of software on your phone or laptop. If you cross into Ohio or Indiana mid-session, the games stop.
Online poker is legal here too, and the board’s list includes poker from BetMGM, FanDuel and WSOP. Sports betting runs under the same license holders, and 13 of the 15 operators offer it alongside their casino.
An offshore site that accepts Michigan players without a license sits outside that system, and the Lawful Internet Gaming Act lets the board investigate such sites, issue cease and desist orders and seek court injunctions against them.
Sweepstakes and social casinos
Sweepstakes and social casino sites do not appear on the board’s authorized list, so they hold no Michigan internet gaming license and the board’s patron disputes process does not cover them. Before you deposit anywhere, find the brand on the list of 15.
How Michigan legalized online casinos
The Lawful Internet Gaming Act, Act 152 of 2019, took immediate effect on December 20, 2019. It requires every operator to check that a player is 21 or older and located in Michigan, and it bars anyone on the board’s responsible gaming database from opening an account or placing a bet.
Hard Rock Bet’s Michigan page dates the first online casinos in the state to January 22, 2021, when online sports betting, casino games and poker went live together.
Michigan online casino revenue
The board’s August 2026 report put online casino gross receipts at $303.0 million for the month, with online sports betting adding $34.6 million, for $337.6 million in all. Online casino adjusted gross receipts rose 17.6% on the year before, while online sports betting fell 29.3%.
Operators paid $62.8 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan that month. The three Detroit casinos paid nearly $13.9 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees to the City of Detroit, and tribal operators reported $8.5 million in payments to their governing bodies.
Games you can play on mobile
The licensed Michigan apps share the same broad categories, and the lobbies we read show how each one files them.
- Slots. The biggest category by far, from three reel classics to jackpot games with pooled prizes. Our guide to mobile slots covers how to read a paytable before you spin.
- Progressive jackpots. Pooled prizes that build across players until someone takes them. See progressive jackpot slots.
- Blackjack. Several rule variants on the same app, and the differences matter to your return. Our blackjack guide goes through them.
- Roulette. American and European wheels, and the European one is better value every time. See roulette online.
- Live dealer. Real tables streamed from a studio, with a person dealing. Read live dealer mobile casinos for what the stream needs from your connection.
- Video poker. The lowest house edge on most apps if you play a correct strategy. See video poker.
- Craps. Fewer apps carry it and the mobile layouts differ. Our craps guide explains the bets that are worth making.
Michigan also allows online poker, which sits apart from the casino games and has its own player pool.
Welcome bonuses at Michigan mobile casinos
Each offer below comes from the operator’s own Michigan promotion page or terms, read in September 2026, apart from BetMGM’s, which comes from its Google Play listing. The wagering and the time limit matter more than the headline amount, so each line gives both where the operator publishes them, with a worked example where the sums help.
BetMGM Casino: the only figure we could read is on BetMGM’s Google Play listing, a 100% deposit match up to $1,000 plus a $25 casino bonus for a $10 minimum deposit. Its Michigan promotions pages would not load, so the wagering on that match is unconfirmed; check it on the signup screen.
FanDuel Casino: a $5 first deposit brings 1,000 spins, 50 a day for 20 days, and $25 in casino bonus. So a $5 deposit gives you your own $5, the first day’s 50 spins and the $25 credit to play with, and anything the credit wins can be withdrawn straight away, though the credit itself expires after 7 days. The offer runs until November 1, 2026.
Caesars Palace Online Casino: with promo code WELCOME you get $10 at signup to play through once, then a 100% match on your first deposit of $10 or more up to $1,000, which must be wagered 15 times on selected slots within 7 days. Caesars’ own terms give the top case: a $1,000 deposit brings a $1,000 bonus and $15,000 of wagering in a week. On a $100 deposit the same rule means $1,500 of slot play inside the 7 days. The 2,500 Reward Credits follow once you wager $25, and the offer is shared between Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia.
Fanatics Casino: your net losses on eligible games in the first 24 hours come back as casino credit, up to $1,000, and the credit expires 7 days after it is issued. A first day that ends ahead brings no credit, and one that ends $1,000 or more down brings the full $1,000.
DraftKings Casino: unconfirmed, because DraftKings’ Michigan casino and promotion pages refused our Michigan connection, so read the offer at signup.
Golden Nugget Online Casino: unconfirmed for the same reason, since its Michigan promotions page would not load for us either.
BetRivers Casino: use code WELCOME on your first deposit, and if your first 24 hours of casino play end with net losses, BetRivers returns 100% of them up to $500 as bonus money you wager once. Lose $500 or more and you receive the full $500, and you also collect up to 500 spins on Lion Link games, 50 at a time.
Hard Rock Bet: a first deposit of $10 or more brings 500 spins on Cash Eruption, valid for seven days, and your net slot losses from the first 24 hours come back as bonus money up to $1,000, wagered once. Hard Rock Bet’s own example: a $1,000 deposit that stands at $850 after 24 hours earns $150 in bonus funds.
bet365 Casino: deposit $10 or more before 06:59 AM ET on October 1, 2026 for a 100% bonus up to $1,000, bet 15 times on eligible slots within 30 days. bet365’s own example: a $100 bonus needs $1,500 of bets. The spins that come with it carry no betting requirement, and their winnings can be withdrawn whenever you choose.
Three checks apply to every offer on this list. Read the wagering and the time limit before the advertised amount, check which games count towards it, and take the offer shown on the deposit screen as the one you get, whatever a page elsewhere says.
Reading a wagering requirement properly
The wagering requirement is the number that decides what a bonus is really worth, so read it before the headline figure.
It tells you how much you have to stake before bonus money becomes cash you can withdraw. A $100 bonus wagered 15 times means $1,500 of stakes, which is the total of every bet you place, win or lose, rather than $1,500 you have to lose. What it does mean is time spent playing, and a real chance of giving the bonus back before you clear it.
Two details change the answer more than the multiple itself. The first is which games count: the Caesars match bonus can only be played on selected slots, the bet365 bonus must be bet on eligible slots, and BetRivers leaves craps, Sic Bo, Dragon Tiger and several other table games out of its offer. The second is the time limit, and here the gap is wide, since bet365 gives you 30 days to bet its bonus 15 times while Caesars gives you 7 days for the same multiple.
Match offers can also cap your stake while the bonus is live. bet365 sets the cap at 10% of your qualifying deposit or bonus per game round, so on a $100 bonus each spin or hand stays at $10 or under until the wagering is done.
Put together, the Caesars match asks for $1,500 of slot play in 7 days on a $100 deposit, while the bet365 match asks for the same $1,500 over 30 days, so at the same size the bet365 bonus gives you more than four times as long to clear it.
Ongoing promotions and loyalty
After the welcome offer, each app runs its own promotions and loyalty scheme, and these are what you use from the second week on.
BetRivers gives Loyalty Level Points and Bonus Store Points on every real money wager, has a tournaments tab in its Michigan lobby, and lists a poker welcome offer of a 100% deposit match up to $1,000 and 500 bonus spins. Caesars links online play to Caesars Rewards and runs a daily Pick & Win game with a chance at $5,000 in bonuses. Fanatics pays FanCash as you play, and bet365 runs a Game of the Week on its casino promotions page.
FanDuel’s Michigan lobby also offers a free daily spin with a chance at $3K or more, and each app lists its current deals in its promotions tab, so open it after you join to see what runs beside the welcome offer.
Deposits and withdrawals
The main payment methods repeat across the licensed Michigan apps, and the Michigan help pages of BetMGM and bet365 set out the detail below.
- Debit card: instant, and bet365 takes Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover debit cards from $10 a deposit.
- Online banking transfer: instant for deposits and open to most US banks, according to bet365, and BetMGM pays withdrawals this way in 2 to 4 business days after its review.
- PayPal: BetMGM pays PayPal withdrawals within 24 hours of its internal review.
- Play+ prepaid cards: operator branded cards that keep gambling off your main statement, paid out by BetMGM within 24 hours after its review.
- Cash at the casino cage: BetMGM pays cash withdrawals at the cage in Michigan within 10 to 12 hours after review, while Caesars and FanDuel leave cage and counter deposits out of their welcome offers.
- Venmo and Apple Pay: BetMGM takes Venmo with no deposit fee, and bet365 takes both Venmo and Apple Pay.
Credit cards depend on the operator and your bank in Michigan. BetMGM’s Michigan help pages accept Visa and Mastercard through the card option, including credit cards, and warn that some banks decline gambling transactions, so a debit card or bank transfer is the surer choice for a first deposit.
Withdrawals take longer than deposits. BetMGM puts every withdrawal through an internal review of up to 3 to 5 days, and only then does the method’s own time start: within 24 hours for PayPal, Play+ and Visa cards, and 1 to 3 business days for Mastercard. Your first withdrawal can take longest because identity checks run before the money moves, so send your documents in early.
What the mobile experience is really like
On a phone, each app opens on a lobby split into tabs, and the tab names tell you where a game sits. FanDuel’s Michigan lobby runs from New and Slots through Jackpots, Blackjack, Live, Exclusives, Tables and Roulette to Arcade, Baccarat and High Limit, and bet365’s Michigan casino splits into What’s New, Live Dealer, Slots, Table Games, Video Poker, Jackpots and Arcade.
Some offers are tied to where you play. FanDuel’s spins can only be used in the state where you made the qualifying deposit, and the board lists Caesars Palace Online as mobile only in Michigan, so you play it on a phone rather than a laptop.
If your phone is short of space, the board’s list gives the web address of every licensed casino, so you can open the operator’s site in your phone’s browser before you decide whether to install its app.
Tax on Michigan casino winnings
Gambling winnings are taxable in Michigan and federally. The State of Michigan sets its individual income tax rate at 4.25% for the 2026 tax year, and gambling winnings count as income at that rate.
Federal tax is separate and operators withhold at source on larger wins. You will receive a W-2G form for a qualifying win, and the operator reports the same figure to the authorities, so the paperwork exists whether or not you keep your own records.
Keep a record of losses as well as wins. Federal rules allow gambling losses to be deducted against gambling winnings if you itemize, but only up to the amount you won, and only with records to support it. A screenshot of your account history at the end of the year takes a minute and saves an argument later.
Michigan follows the federal return here: since 2021, if you itemized on your federal return and deducted gambling losses there, you may be able to deduct them on your Michigan return too.
None of this is tax advice. If you have had a large win, talk to somebody qualified before you file.
How to start playing on your phone
- Pick an operator from the authorized list above and open its site on your phone.
- Tap through to create an account. You will need your name, date of birth, address and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- Complete the identity check the app asks for, and upload any ID it requests now rather than when you first withdraw.
- Allow location access when the app asks. The check confirms you are inside Michigan and it runs every session.
- Make your first deposit with a method that qualifies for the welcome offer, enter the promo code if the offer has one, such as WELCOME at Caesars and BetRivers, and check that the amount shown matches what you expected.
- Play the games the bonus applies to, which at Caesars and bet365 means selected or eligible slots, and check the excluded list, since BetRivers leaves out craps, Sic Bo and several other table games.
- Withdraw to the same method you deposited with wherever possible, because operators such as BetMGM pay back to the deposit method before they open other options.
Tips for playing at Michigan mobile casinos
- Set a deposit limit on day one. Setting it while you are calm is easier than setting it later, and BetMGM counts your deposits in every state towards the limit.
- Read the wagering requirement before the bonus amount. A $50 bonus wagered 10 times asks for $500 of play, far less than a $200 bonus wagered 50 times.
- Hold accounts at two or three operators. Promotions differ week to week and you can take the best of them without chasing.
- Get identity checks done before you win. Nobody wants to be uploading a utility bill while waiting on a payout.
- Take European roulette over American. One fewer zero, and a meaningfully better return over time.
- Do not chase a losing session. The maths does not change because you are behind, and neither does the house edge.
- Use the browser version if your phone is old. It needs no download and takes no storage.
Other guides
Our mobile casinos by state page covers where else real money play is legal in the United States. If you play in more than one state, our New Jersey mobile casinos and Pennsylvania mobile casinos guides list the licensed apps in those states, and our guide to the best mobile casinos for USA players compares the national apps side by side.
Detroit casinos and tribal operators
The fifteen licenses split into two groups: the three commercial casinos in Detroit and twelve tribal operators.
Three belong to the commercial casinos in Detroit: MGM Grand Detroit behind BetMGM, MotorCity behind FanDuel, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown behind theScore Bet. They pay wagering taxes and municipal services fees to the City of Detroit, as the board’s August 2026 revenue report shows.
The other twelve belong to tribal operators, from the Bay Mills Indian Community in the Upper Peninsula to the Pokagon Band in the south west. Some partner with a national brand, which is why DraftKings answers to Bay Mills. Others put their own casino’s name on the app with a technology supplier behind it, as the board’s list shows: NeoGames for FireKeepers, the Strive Platform for Four Winds and GAN for Eagle Casino and Sports.
Those own brand tribal apps hold the same Michigan authorization as the national brands, and they answer to the same board for testing and for player complaints.
Where you play also decides who shares in it, through wagering taxes paid to the City of Detroit on the commercial side and payments to the tribe’s governing body on the tribal side, and the revenue section above gives the August 2026 figures.
When the location check stops you playing
Every Michigan casino app has to confirm where you are before it lets you play, and when that check fails the fix is usually a setting on your phone.
The app has to confirm you are physically inside Michigan every session, and it uses your phone’s location along with nearby networks to do it. When it fails, the usual causes are simple ones. Location permission is set to “while using” rather than “always”. A virtual private network, remote access app or remote desktop program is running, which BetMGM says will make the check fail. Or you are close to the Ohio, Indiana or Wisconsin line, where BetMGM checks your location more often to confirm you are still in a legal state.
What actually fixes it, in the order worth trying: turn the VPN off completely, switch location permission to always for that app, turn wifi on even if you are using mobile data because the app uses nearby networks to place you, then close the app fully and reopen it. If you are within a few miles of a state line, moving further into Michigan solves what no setting will.
On a laptop the same check runs through a plug-in the operator asks you to install, which at BetMGM is GeoComply, and it has to be running before the casino will load.
If a withdrawal stalls
When a payout does not arrive, work through these three checks in order before you contact support.
Check whether your identity documents have all cleared, since the operator will not always chase you for a missing item. Check whether a bonus is still active, because BetMGM’s withdrawal page lists unmet wagering among the reasons a withdrawal is held. Check you are withdrawing to the same method you deposited with, since BetMGM may pay back to the deposit method before it opens other options.
If all three are clean and the money has not arrived within the times on the operator’s withdrawal page, contact support in writing rather than by phone, so you have a record. Give your account name, the amount, the date and the method.
If that goes nowhere, the Michigan Gaming Control Board takes player complaints about licensed online casinos through its patron disputes page, which covers internet gaming and sports betting. That route is open only for the operators on the authorized list at the top of this page, so stay on it.
Pros and cons of playing at Michigan online casinos
Pros
- A regulator above every app: the board takes complaints about licensed operators and sets testing and auditing rules for their platforms.
- Visitors can play: you need to be 21 and inside Michigan, and residency does not come into it.
- Low entry offers: FanDuel starts its offer at a $5 deposit, and Caesars gives $10 before you deposit at all.
- Statewide self exclusion: one entry on the Responsible Gaming Database covers every regulated online casino and sportsbook in Michigan.
Cons
- Location checks: near a state line the check can stop play, and a VPN makes it fail.
- Short bonus windows: Caesars gives 7 days to clear its match, and Fanatics credit expires after 7 days.
- Withdrawal reviews: BetMGM reviews every withdrawal for up to 3 to 5 days before the payment method’s own time applies.
- Tax on winnings: Michigan taxes them at 4.25% for 2026, on top of federal tax.
Frequently asked questions
Is online casino play legal in Michigan?
Yes, for anyone 21 or over who is physically inside Michigan. The Michigan Gaming Control Board licenses every operator and publishes the authorized list.
Do I have to live in Michigan?
No. You have to be inside the state when you play. Residency is not part of it, and visitors can play on a Michigan account while they are here.
Can I play online casino games in the Upper Peninsula?
Yes. The law asks only that you are located in Michigan, and the Upper Peninsula is part of the state, so the apps work there as long as the location check can place you on the Michigan side of the Wisconsin line.
Can I bet on sports in Michigan too?
Yes. According to the board’s August 2026 report, 13 of the 15 authorized operators offer online sports betting as well as casino games.
How many casino apps are licensed in Michigan?
Fifteen platforms are authorized, each tied to a tribal operator or one of the three Detroit casinos. The full list is above.
Which Michigan casino app has the biggest welcome offer?
It depends what you are counting. The largest match amounts are $1,000 at bet365 and Caesars, wagered 15 times in both cases, over 30 days at bet365 and 7 days at Caesars. FanDuel gives 1,000 spins and $25 for a $5 deposit, and Hard Rock Bet and Fanatics each return up to $1,000 of first-day losses. BetMGM’s Google Play listing shows a 100% match up to $1,000 plus $25, so check its signup screen for the Michigan terms.
How long do withdrawals take?
At BetMGM, whose Michigan withdrawal page we could read, every request goes through a review of up to 3 to 5 days. After that, PayPal, Play+ and Visa cards take up to 24 hours, Mastercard 1 to 3 business days and online banking 2 to 4 business days. Expect the first one to take longer while your identity is confirmed.
Can I use a credit card?
Yes, at some apps. BetMGM’s Michigan help pages accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards through the card option, but some banks decline gambling transactions, so a debit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo or Play+ card is the safer choice.
Do I pay tax on my winnings?
Yes. Michigan taxes gambling winnings as income at 4.25% for the 2026 tax year, and federal tax applies separately with withholding on larger wins.
Why does the app keep checking my location?
Because the law requires you to be inside Michigan while you play. The check runs each session and can interrupt play near a state line where your phone picks up a tower across the border.
Can I play online poker in Michigan?
Yes. BetMGM, FanDuel and WSOP all run licensed online poker in Michigan, separately from their casino games.
Can I use the same account in another state?
It depends on the operator. Fanatics uses one app and one account across the states where it runs, while BetMGM uses one app but asks you to create an account in each state. In either case the games only switch on when you are physically inside a state where that operator is licensed.
Which app pays out fastest?
At BetMGM, the one operator whose Michigan withdrawal times we could read in full, cash at the MGM Grand Detroit cage is quickest at 10 to 12 hours after review, followed by PayPal, Play+ and Visa cards within 24 hours, with online banking slowest at 2 to 4 business days.
Are live dealer games legal in Michigan?
Yes. Live dealer tables are part of the licensed casino apps: FanDuel, bet365 and BetRivers each have a live tab in their Michigan lobbies, and Fanatics lists live dealer games among its casino games.
Do I need a bonus code?
Some offers ask for one. Caesars and BetRivers both use the code WELCOME on the first deposit, and bet365 asks you to tick its Claim box when you deposit.
How do I self-exclude?
Join the board’s Responsible Gaming Database, which excludes you from every regulated online casino and sportsbook in Michigan at once, or use the tools in an app’s account settings, such as Fanatics’ option to pause your account, to step back from one operator.
How do I contact customer support?
Each app has its own help center, such as help.mi.betmgm.com for BetMGM and help.mi.bet365.com for bet365. If support does not settle a complaint, the Michigan Gaming Control Board takes patron disputes about licensed online casinos.
Are the games fair?
The Lawful Internet Gaming Act tells the board to develop and enforce testing and auditing requirements for internet gaming platforms, so licensed games answer to a regulator. The house edge still applies to every game, so testing tells you the game runs as described and says nothing about whether you will win.
What happens if an app is not on the authorized list?
It is not licensed to take money from Michigan players. Its games are not tested here and the state regulator cannot help you with a dispute. Stay on the list.

Play responsibly
Everything on this page assumes gambling is something you do for entertainment with money you can afford to lose. You must be 21 or over to play in Michigan.
The apps carry their own limits in the account settings, and BetMGM applies its deposit limit to deposits across every state you play in. Michigan adds three tools of its own through the Gaming Control Board. The Responsible Gaming Database lets you self-exclude from all regulated online gaming and online sports betting in the state at once, and the law bars anyone on it from opening an account or betting. The Disassociated Persons List lets you bar yourself from the three Detroit casinos for life, with the option to ask for removal after 5 years. Michigan residents can also claim a free Gamban license, which blocks gambling sites and apps on your devices.
If gambling has stopped being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER, which connects Michigan callers to the state’s Problem Gambling Helpline, free, confidential and open 24 hours a day. The board’s own responsible gaming representatives answer on 888-223-3044 from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Eastern. Our responsible gambling page explains the tools in each app and how to use them.
