Borgata runs two different welcome offers at the same time, and which one you see depends on how you arrive. Both are live in September 2026.

The offer on Borgata’s own site

$20 in bonus funds when you register, plus a 100% match on your first deposit up to $1,000. The minimum deposit is $10.

The terms attached to it:

• The $20 carries 1x wagering. Wager it once and the winnings are yours.
• The deposit match carries 15x, and it clears on slots only. Table games and live dealer play contribute nothing toward it. There is also a list of excluded slots.
• Three days to claim the $20 from registration, and seven days to clear it.
• Thirty days to make the qualifying deposit, and fourteen days to clear the match once you have.

A $500 match at 15x on slots means $7,500 of slot wagering. That is ordinary for the market, and it is the same figure Caesars asks. The slots-only condition is the part that catches table players.

The offer that arrives through a promo code

The second version is smaller on the headline and lighter on the terms. It gives you either a 100% deposit match up to $500 or a run of bonus spins, plus a daily wheel spin for your first eight days that can pay out up to 1,000 more bonus spins with no wagering attached to the wheel winnings.

The playthrough on this one is disputed. Borgata’s own blog states 5x. At least one large independent site publishing the same offer states 15x. That is a threefold difference in what the bonus costs you to clear, so read the number in the cashier before you opt in and take whichever is actually on your screen.

If the 5x version is what you are offered, it is the better of the two offers by a wide margin, even though the headline is half the size.

Where Borgata is legal

The real money casino runs in two states.

• New Jersey, regulated by the Division of Gaming Enforcement. The permit is held by Marina District Development Company, LLC, trading as Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.
• Pennsylvania, regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, which lists Borgata among its licensed interactive gaming operators.

What changed in the June 2026 relaunch

Borgata rebuilt the platform across both states on 30 June 2026, so any review written before that date describes a product that no longer exists.

What actually changed:

• New navigation across the lobby, which is the part you feel most on a phone.
• A single account hub rather than settings scattered across several screens.
• A combined Rewards Hub holding promotions, loyalty points and your MGM Rewards tier in one place.
• Two in-house games, Borgata Gem Strike and Borgata 777 Respin Deluxe, built for Borgata rather than licensed in.

At the same time Borgata reported an 8.1 percent share of the New Jersey online market on $108 million of gross gaming revenue to May 2026, which made it the fourth largest operator in the state.

That figure is worth having because it tells you this is a major casino rather than a side brand. Fourth place in the largest online casino market in the country is a serious position.

Borgata on a phone browser

The whole casino runs in Safari on an iPhone and Chrome on Android. Same account, same games, same bonuses, no download.

The June relaunch was aimed squarely at this. The new navigation and the single account hub are both changes you notice more on a small screen than on a laptop, because there is less room to hide a badly organized menu.

The browser is the right choice if you play now and then, or if you would rather not have a casino on your home screen. The one thing it does less well is holding your login, which the app does with a face or fingerprint check.

There are three Borgata apps

Getting this wrong is the most common Borgata mistake.

Borgata publishes conflicting counts and it is worth saying so rather than picking one.

Their own app page says over 2,000 games. Coverage of the June 2026 relaunch put the figure above 4,000 titles including 250 exclusive digital games. The app store listing describes 450 slot machines, 50 jackpot slots and 35 Slingo games.

Those three numbers cannot all describe the same lobby, and the likeliest explanation is that they count different things and in different states. The count in the lobby you are logged into is the one that applies to you, and it is the only figure worth trusting.

What is not in doubt is that the library is large, that New Jersey has more of it than Pennsylvania, and that Borgata carries exclusive titles nobody else has.

Slots

Slots are the bulk of the lobby and they are also the only game type that clears the welcome match. Alongside the usual studios you get the Borgata-branded exclusives, including the two built for the relaunch.

Table games

The standard set is all present, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and the poker-style tables, plus Slingo, which sits somewhere between a slot and a bingo card.

Live dealer games

This is where Borgata is strongest, and unlike the game count it is countable.

The live lobby lists ten blackjack tables and seven roulette tables by name, plus baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Casino Hold’em. Several carry the Borgata name directly, including Roulette Live from Borgata, Baccarat Live from Borgata, Borgata Blackjack Gold and Borgata Baccarat Gold.

Seventeen named tables across the two main games is a big live room by American standards. Borgata does not say who supplies or streams them, so I am not going to tell you either. What matters to you is the number of tables, which decides whether you get a seat at your stake on a Saturday night.

Slingo and the games that are not quite slots

Borgata carries a bigger Slingo section than most, and the app store listing puts it at around 35 titles.

Slingo is a hybrid. You get a five by five number grid like a bingo card and a slot reel underneath it. Each spin gives you numbers to mark off, plus the usual slot symbols for extra spins, jokers and multipliers. Complete lines on the grid and you climb a prize ladder.

The reason it is worth knowing about is the pacing. A slot resolves in two seconds and tells you immediately whether you won. A Slingo game runs over a fixed number of spins with a prize ladder you can see, so it plays more like a round than a series of individual bets.

Then comes the part that decides how long you actually wait. Borgata’s help pages state an internal review period of up to three to five days on every withdrawal. Only once that clears does the method timing begin.

The published timings after approval:

• Cash at the cage: 10 to 12 hours, in select states.
• Visa, PayPal, Venmo and Play+: within 24 hours.
• Mastercard and Apple Pay: one to three business days.
• VIP Preferred, online banking and instant banking: two to four business days.
• Check by mail in New Jersey: seven to twenty-one business days.

Borgata contradicts itself here and it is worth knowing which page to believe. One of their own posts says funds are typically available about fifteen minutes after approval on several methods. Their help center describes the three to five day review. Both are true, because the fifteen minutes is measured from approval and the review happens before approval.

Add the two together and a realistic first payout on PayPal is four to six days, not fifteen minutes. Later payouts are usually quicker because the checks are already done.

Apple Pay withdrawals do work here

Worth calling out, because most American casinos take Apple Pay deposits and refuse Apple Pay payouts. Borgata’s own Apple Pay FAQ answers the question with a plain yes, and its timings page gives Apple Pay one to three business days.

Two currencies run side by side. Rewards Points are the ones you spend. Tier Credits only move you up the levels and cannot be converted into anything.

The earn rate is published by example:

Tiers run Sapphire from zero, Pearl from 20,000, Gold from 75,000, Platinum from 200,000, and an invitation only level above that.

Two conditions to watch. Points and comps are forfeited after six months of no activity at Sapphire level, or twelve months at the higher tiers. And no loyalty balance has any cash value.

The real draw is the MGM Rewards connection. Points convert across to the scheme that covers MGM hotels and resorts nationwide, which puts Borgata in the same small group as Caesars: casinos where playing on your phone earns something you can spend on a hotel room. If you never visit one, the points are worth a fraction of a percent and no more.

What Borgata does not publish

It is worth being straight about the gaps, because a page that lists only what is available reads as advertising.

These are the figures Borgata does not make readable before you register:

• Deposit minimums and maximums. Only the $10 welcome offer threshold is stated.
• Live dealer table stake limits, which are only visible inside the logged-in lobby.
• A total game count, as against the category counts the lobby shows.
• Support hours, an email address or a phone number.
• Who supplies and streams the live dealer tables. The branded names are Borgata’s own and the provider is never named.

None of that makes Borgata a bad casino. It does mean that anyone telling you Borgata’s exact deposit maximum or its live blackjack minimum is either logged in or guessing, and you should treat the figure accordingly.

Signing up and geolocation

Registration takes a few minutes and asks for the usual details, including the last four digits of your Social Security number, which is how a licensed American casino confirms your identity and your age.
