Best NJ Mobile Casinos for 2026

New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement keeps the list of every casino site approved to take real money play in the state, and its current list holds 29 numbered entries under nine Atlantic City casinos. The brands in this guide all run on a phone, in the browser, in an app or both, and you can play at any of them from the age of 21 as long as you are physically inside New Jersey, though you do not have to live there.

How the New Jersey casino market works

New Jersey’s 2013 law allows internet wagers only with a casino licensee in Atlantic City, so every online casino in the state runs under one of the nine Atlantic City casinos. One casino can carry several online brands, which is why the list below has far more names than there are casinos. The name on your phone is often different from the casino behind it: Golden Nugget’s license carries FanDuel and BetRivers as well as Golden Nugget’s own casino, and Hard Rock’s carries bet365 next to Hard Rock Bet.

Some brands also share a platform, the software and lobby underneath the name. Mohegan Sun and Resorts show the same rows in their lobbies, from Hot Games in NJ to Evolution Live Dealer and Cash Eruption, and Evolution’s own announcement names both sites in its live dealer deal with Boyd Interactive. Borgata and BetMGM sit on the same Borgata license, and Borgata’s rewards members are enrolled in MGM Rewards automatically. Two brands on one platform tend to carry much the same games, so accounts on different platforms give you more variety.

New Jersey online casino revenue

The Division publishes the state’s results every month. Internet gaming win for the casinos and their partners was $259.3 million in August 2026, up 4.4% on the $248.4 million of August 2025. From January to August 2026 it came to $2.13 billion, 13.2% more than the $1.88 billion of the same months in 2025.

Every approved site on the DGE list

This is the Division of Gaming Enforcement’s own list of approved internet gaming sites, grouped by the Atlantic City casino each one runs under. The Division says any site missing from it has no approval to offer internet gaming in New Jersey.

The list holds 29 numbered entries, and some entries carry two names, such as Caesars Palace Online and Horseshoe, or theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino. The Division approves new sites on a rolling basis, so check the list itself before you sign up anywhere you have not played before.

How I rate a New Jersey mobile casino

A casino has to be on the Division of Gaming Enforcement’s list before anything else counts, and every brand below is on it. After that, these are the things I check on a phone:

• The offer and its terms: the headline figure, the playthrough, the time limit and the games that count.
• The lobby on a phone: on an iPhone 15 over a New Jersey connection, how the first screen gets you to a game.
• Game library: the number of games where the operator publishes one, the studios named in the lobby, and the live dealer tables.
• Banking: the deposit and withdrawal methods, including cash at an Atlantic City cage, and any review period before a withdrawal is paid.
• Rewards: what the loyalty program pays out and where you can spend it.
• Safety tools: deposit, loss and time limits, cool-off and self-exclusion in the account settings, and how to complain to the Division if the casino does not sort out a problem.

Its New Jersey app listing on Google Play counts more than 450 slots and Slingo games, more than 50 jackpot slots, 14 or more blackjack games and 25 or more roulette games, alongside craps, baccarat, poker and live casino games. DraftKings Casino runs under the Resorts license. Its app listing offers over 1,000 real money games across slots, blackjack, roulette and live dealer, plus DraftKings slots, roulette and blackjack games the listing says you cannot find anywhere else. The app takes players aged 21 and over who are physically inside Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or West Virginia. FanDuel Casino runs under the Golden Nugget license, and its lobby footer says the site is authorized by the Division of Gaming Enforcement for registered users physically present in New Jersey. On an iPhone 15 over a New Jersey connection the lobby opened. The first screen puts Search, Earn $$$, New and Slots buttons across the top, then a new-player banner for 1,000 bonus spins plus a $25 casino bonus and the daily Reward Machine spin, with Home, Rewards, Earn $$$, New and Explore along the bottom. FanDuel’s app listing says every casino promotion has a single playthrough, so $25 of casino bonus needs $25 of bets before what is left can be withdrawn.

Caesars Palace Online Casino

Caesars Palace Online runs under Caesars’ Tropicana Atlantic City license and shares its entry on the Division’s list with Horseshoe. Its New Jersey page sets the welcome offer out in three steps: register with a promo code for a $10 sign-up bonus, deposit for a 100% match up to $1,000 on selected slots, and wager at least $25 in cash for 2,500 Reward Credits. After that, every $5 of slot play earns 1 Reward Credit and every $25 on table games earns 1, so $500 of slot play earns 100 credits, and Caesars Rewards benefits can be redeemed at over 50 destinations. The website promises thousands of slots, while the Caesars app listing talks of hundreds of slots, Caesars-only exclusives and live dealer games.

Golden Nugget holds one of the nine Atlantic City licenses, and FanDuel and BetRivers run under it as well as Golden Nugget’s own casino. Google Play lists DraftKings, Inc. as the publisher of the Golden Nugget Online Casino app, which calls the brand one of the longest-standing casino brands in the USA and takes players aged 21 and over who are physically present in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Michigan. On an iPhone 15 over a New Jersey connection its casino lobby opened. The first screen has a Search Casino box, tabs for Live Dealer, New Games (64) and Jackpot Slots, and a Spin & Score banner offering up to 1,000 bonus spins when you pick your deposit bonus, followed by a Featured grid whose first tiles all carry an Exclusive tag. Hard Rock Bet runs under the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino license, which also carries bet365. Its own New Jersey page counted 4,718 unique games on September 26, 2026, and its app listing says over 4,400. New players get 500 bonus spins on Cash Eruption, and any losses in their first 24 hours come back as casino bonus, up to $1,000. Hard Rock’s listing says casino bonus credit has a single playthrough, so if you lose $100 on day one you get $100 of casino bonus and play that $100 through once before what is left can be withdrawn. Rewards run through Unity, Hard Rock’s global loyalty program, and every Thursday you open a Reward Drop of personalized prizes that improves as your level rises.

BetRivers Casino

BetRivers runs under the Golden Nugget license. Its New Jersey welcome offer, with the code WELCOME on your first deposit, gives back 100% of your net casino losses from the first 24 hours as up to $500 in bonus money that you wager once before it can be cashed out, plus up to 500 bonus spins on Lion Link games. The spins arrive 50 at a time: 50 straight after your first deposit and 50 more on each day in a row that you log in, and each batch expires 24 hours after it arrives. Lose $100 on day one and you get $100 in bonus money, which $100 of bets clears. Sic Bo, craps, Dragon Tiger, Hi-Lo War, Football Studio and Football Dice are left out of the offer. BetRivers says it has the simplest and lowest bonus requirement in the New Jersey market, its app listing says over 75% of withdrawals are approved instantly, and its loyalty program is iRush Rewards.

Mohegan Sun’s New Jersey casino runs under the Resorts license, and its lobby carries the same rows as the Resorts site, so the two brands share one platform. On an iPhone 15 over a New Jersey connection it opened. The first screen has Home and Daily Free Spin buttons and a Hot Games in NJ row, with Casino, Live Casino, Promotions and Blackjack along the bottom. The app lists over 840 online slots, and the live tables come from Evolution, whose announcement names it the exclusive live dealer provider for MoheganSunCasino.com in New Jersey. Online loyalty runs through Stellar Rewards.

PlayStar Casino

PlayStar runs under the Ocean Resort Casino license, and Jackie casino shares its entry on the Division’s list. Its app listing offers a first deposit match up to $500 plus up to 500 free spins, from a $20 minimum deposit, and says you must be 25 or older to take the offer, four years above the legal age of 21. The listing counts more than 1,500 online casino games and says the live dealer tables stream in real time from PlayStar’s own studios. On an iPhone 15 over a New Jersey connection the home screen opened. The first screen shows Games, Top Picks, New and Slots tabs with a search icon and a bar of Home, Earn $, My Offers, Live and Deposit along the bottom, and IGT was its Studio of the Month when I looked.

Bally Bet runs under the Bally’s Atlantic City license, which also carries Fanatics Casino and Monopoly Casino. Its app listing offers new players a refund of up to $500 in bonus money if they lose their first deposit, on slots only, and takes players aged 21 and over who are present in New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Rhode Island. Deposit $100, lose it on slots, and you get $100 back in bonus money. Resorts holds one of the nine Atlantic City licenses, and DraftKings, Mohegan Sun, theScore Bet, Hollywood Casino and PokerStars all run under it as well as Resorts’ own casino. The Resorts app offers a welcome bonus with no deposit required and hundreds of popular slots, and takes deposits and withdrawals by PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Venmo. Its lobby shares its rows with Mohegan Sun, from Hot Games in NJ to Cash Eruption and Dragon Lounge, and its live tables come from Evolution, which names ResortsCasino.com in its exclusive live dealer deal with Boyd Interactive.

Ocean Casino

Ocean Resort Casino puts its own brand online as betOcean, and its license also carries PlayStar, Jackie casino and Resorts World Bet. The betOcean footer is signed by Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City, says you must be 21 or older, and gives 1-800-GAMBLER for anyone who needs help. Its promotions menu lists a loyalty deposit offer for each of five tiers, Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Elite, next to a Welcome Bonus page. The logged-out site shows no game count or welcome offer figure, so check both once you have signed up.

• Rewards: a loyalty deposit offer for each of five tiers, from Blue to Elite.
• License: Ocean Resort Casino’s own approval from the Division of Gaming Enforcement.
• Site: betOcean.com, run by Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
• Worth knowing: the logged-out site gives no game count or offer figure, so check both after you sign up.

Is online gambling legal in New Jersey?

Yes. Then-Governor Chris Christie signed Assembly Bill 2578 into law on February 26, 2013, as P.L.2013, c.27, and the first New Jersey online casinos went live in November 2013. The law allows internet wagers only with an Atlantic City casino licensee and only from players who are physically inside the state, which is why every site runs under a land-based casino such as Borgata, Golden Nugget or Hard Rock. The Division of Gaming Enforcement approves every one of them.

The rules that matter to you as a player:

• Age: you must be 21 or older to play real money casino games.
• Location: you have to be physically inside New Jersey when you bet. You do not need to be a resident, and BetRivers says you can register from any state.
• Geolocation: the law requires every site to confirm you are in the state each time you log on to a new session. BetMGM’s help pages say that out of state you can reach your account but cannot play, and that a VPN or remote desktop software makes the location check fail.
• Licensing: only sites on the Division’s list are approved, and offshore casinos that accept New Jersey players are not on it.

You can confirm any casino against the list kept by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. If a problem comes up, the Division says to complain to the casino first, using the procedure on the casino’s website, and then use the Division’s own dispute form, because it requires every operator to have a system for receiving and investigating complaints. New Jersey is one of several states with legal online casinos. The DraftKings Casino app listing names Connecticut, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia alongside New Jersey, and Bally’s names Rhode Island.

A short history of online casinos in New Jersey

The Division of Gaming Enforcement was set up in 1977 under the Casino Control Act, and online play came much later, with the 2013 law described above: Assembly Bill 2578 became law in February and the first sites opened that November. Hard Rock Online Casino arrived on June 28, 2018, and the approved list has kept changing since.

Progressive jackpots put a slice of every bet into a prize pool that keeps growing until someone wins it. Hard Rock’s New Jersey page reports a recent winner of over $1.9 million from a $1 spin with the $0.20 jackpot opt-in, and BetMGM’s app lists more than 50 jackpot slots. The software behind the games

The games come from specialist studios rather than the casinos themselves. Hard Rock’s New Jersey page names Aristocrat, Bally, Betdigital, Bragg, High 5 Games, IGT, Light & Wonder, Konami, NetEnt and Playtech among its providers, Borgata’s lobby names Evolution, Playtech, IGT and Everi, and FanDuel’s names Evolution and NetEnt. Live tables come from more than one source: Evolution is the exclusive live dealer provider for Resorts and Mohegan Sun, FanDuel runs its own branded tables, and PlayStar streams from its own studios. Once you know which studios make the games you like, look for them in each lobby and compare the offers.

Welcome bonuses and promo codes in New Jersey

New player offers in New Jersey come in four kinds, and several casinos combine two of them:

• Deposit match: the casino matches your first deposit up to a cap, such as Caesars’ 100% up to $1,000 on selected slots or PlayStar’s match up to $500.
• Bonus spins: spins on named slots, such as BetMGM’s up to 1,000, FanDuel’s 1,000, Hard Rock Bet’s 500 on Cash Eruption, or BetRivers’ 50 a day up to 500.
• No-deposit credit: bonus play before you pay anything in, such as Caesars’ $10 on signup or the Resorts welcome bonus.

The playthrough decides what an offer is worth. FanDuel, Hard Rock Bet and BetRivers all ask you to play a bonus through once, so $100 of bonus needs $100 of bets, while a bonus at a higher multiple needs that many times the bonus in bets before you can withdraw. Check the time limit, the maximum bet while a bonus is active and which games count as well, because a game left out of the offer does nothing toward clearing it.

Few New Jersey offers need a code. BetRivers asks for WELCOME on your first deposit and Caesars asks for a promo code when you register. Offers change and differ from state to state, so read the terms on the signup screen before you deposit rather than a figure you saw elsewhere.

Each casino publishes its own list of payment methods:

• PayPal, Venmo and Apple Pay: at BetMGM, Hard Rock Bet and Resorts, with PayPal at Mohegan Sun too.
• Debit and credit cards: Visa and Mastercard at BetMGM, Mohegan Sun and Resorts, and debit cards at Hard Rock Bet. BetMGM’s help pages warn that some banks do not support gambling payments and may decline them.
• Online banking and e-checks: online banking at BetMGM, VIP Preferred ACH e-check at Mohegan Sun, and instant bank transfer at Hard Rock Bet.

• PayNearMe: cash deposits through a shop, at BetMGM and Mohegan Sun.
• Cash at the cage: BetMGM players can use the Borgata cage, Hard Rock Bet players the Hard Rock Atlantic City cage for deposits and withdrawals, and Mohegan Sun players can deposit at the Resorts cage.

Withdrawal time depends on the casino’s own review as well as your payment method. BetMGM’s help pages allow an internal review of up to 3 to 5 days before the payment method’s time begins, and BetRivers’ app listing says over 75% of its withdrawals are approved instantly. At Hard Rock Bet you must deposit with a PayPal account in your name before you can withdraw to it. Verifying your identity when you join saves a hold-up on your first withdrawal.

What NJ mobile casinos are like on a phone

I loaded four New Jersey lobbies on an iPhone 15 over a New Jersey connection, with nothing installed, and each one opened in the phone browser.

All four put a search button on the first screen and a bar of shortcuts along the bottom, such as FanDuel’s Home, Rewards, Earn $$$, New and Explore or Borgata’s Sports, Casino, Promotions and Account. Tax on New Jersey casino winnings

Online casino winnings are subject to the New Jersey Gross Income Tax, and the state’s Division of Taxation says tax is withheld at 3% of the payout for both residents and nonresidents. That is $3 held back from every $100 paid out. You can use gambling losses to offset winnings from the same year as long as the losses do not exceed your winnings, and a year of net losses is reported as zero income. If you report net winnings on your New Jersey return, you attach a statement of your total winnings and losses, and a daily log of wins and losses counts as evidence.

Federal tax applies as well. The IRS treats gambling winnings as fully taxable, the casino issues a Form W-2G for certain winnings, and you can deduct losses only if you itemize on Schedule A and have kept a record of your wins and losses. Speak to a tax professional about your own position.

Setting up takes a few minutes. This is the order I would follow:

1. Pick a casino on the Division’s list: every brand on this page is on it.
2. Open it in your browser or install the app: Apple Pay at Hard Rock Bet shows only inside the iPhone app, so choose the app if that is how you want to pay.
3. Create your account: sign up with your real details and confirm you are 21 or older. Some brands, BetRivers among them, let you register from outside New Jersey.
